Dubreuil Prize for the first novel 2021, awarded to «Soleil à coudre» by Jean D’Amérique

The young Haitian poet, slammer, writer and playwright born Jean Civilus (26) aka “Jean D’Amérique” who received the 2021 Apollinaire Discovery Prize a few days ago for his collection of poetry “Atelier du silence” is once again rewarded with the Dubreuil Prize of the first novel 2021 of the Société des Gens De Lettres (SGDL) for his novel “Soleil à coudre”.

The Dubreuil Prize is a literary recognition for the first novel created by The Société Des Gens de Lettres de France which is a writers’ association founded by French authors Honoré de Balzac, Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, and George Sand in 1838. € 2,000  given to the winner provided by the André Dubreuil legacy fund.

Reacting to the news of this new Prize on his facebook page, Jean D’Amérique Thanked the jury for having rewarded him with this Prize and for allowing this book to make such a beautiful journey !
