PAHO / WHO deplores the low vaccination rate in Haiti

The director of the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO), Dr Carissa Etienne, found the low rate of vaccination against Covid-19 in Haiti completely unacceptable, the newspaper reports. Miami Herald. “So far Haiti has administered some 52,000 vaccines, many more people need to be vaccinated,” said Etienne. With 500,000 doses of vaccine available, less than one percent of the Haitian population has been covered, regrets The Ministry of Public Health and Population has informed that the Delta and Mu variants of the coronavirus, deemed to be very contagious, have been detected on the national territory.

Going to talk about the cultural context.. Which includes Haitians preferring teas and natural solutions.  Also, how its not as widely available distance wise outside of the main cities.  Finally government hasnt done a good job in pushing it.  Compared to how they pushed clean COVID principles, which was recognized as some of the best in the world by independent international reports.
