Construction of an ATM complex and a new control tower at the International Airport

 

 

Thanks to a funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Haitian Government, in order to pursue its policy of developing and securing air transport, has decided to undertake the Construction of a new Air Traffic Management (ATM) Complex in Haiti and a new control tower for Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince.

The objective of this project is to equip Haiti’s aeronautical system with new infrastructure and new equipment that will provide improved air traffic services, secure and in line with the harmonized air traffic management plan in the Caribbean.

The project consists of the construction of a technical building of approximately 2,300 m2, and of a new 32 m high Control Tower as well as the acquisition of a set of equipment contributing to the automation of the management system of air traffic.

The international firm ADP Ingénierie is going to be in charge of this new project in partnership with the Haitian firm of Génie Conseil SA (GCL) at an estimated cost excluding taxes of 20 million US dollars for a duration of  32 months.
