The General Consumer Price Index (CPI base 100, 2017-2018) recorded in May 2021 an increase of 1.0%, which constitutes a small increase compared to the monthly variation of 0.9% of the month of April. On the other hand, compared to the strong accelerations of last year the CPI continues to decelerate year on year reaching an increase of 14.5% in May against 16.0% in April (latest data available).
The monthly increase observed in May 2021 is mainly the result of the behavior of the following consumption indices:

August 16th, 2021On Monday July 19, 2021, the airline company American Airlines announced the cancellation of Miami / Port-au-Prince / Miami flights from August 17 to September 8, 2021. The reason for this cancellation is a delay in the delivery of a Boeing 787-8 according to a note.

August 16th, 202111 years ago after a massive earthquake hit the Carribean nation of Haiti in 2010, the south of this poor country was faced once again with another strong earthquake of a magnitude of 7.2 on the morning of Saturday August 14th.
Even though the epicentre of Saturday's quake was about 12 km (7.5 miles) from the town of Saint-Louis du Sud in the big South of Haiti, he tremor was felt in the densely-populated capital of Port-au-Prince still recovering from the 2010 earthquake, some 125km away.
