The Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) and the “Haitian Diaspora Resources World Wide” (HDRWW) signed on September 9, 2021, a framework partnership agreement with the aim of promoting the construction of permanent exchange networks between Haitians in the Diaspora and the country’s institutions.
This agreement will facilitate :
– The support and accompaniment of national and international organizations in the accomplishment of their tasks relating to the effective integration of the Haitian diaspora in all spheres of national life;
– Promotion of political participation including the right to vote for Haitians living abroad and dual nationality;
– Strengthening the protection and defense of the rights of Haitian nationals and their descendants;
– The exchange of information and procedures allowing the evolution of practices likely to favor the emergence of the Haitian diaspora.
Mrs. Marina Gourgue, President and Co-founder of HDRWW and Advisor Dr. Jessie Pierre who signed the protocol, expressed their desire and their civic commitment to work with the Ministry for the development of Haiti.
