Haitian women is dominating youth football in the Caribbean

Even without the organization of a regular competition, Haitian youth football is doing well at the level of the Caribbean. The small Grenadières, ruthless and in steamroller mode, supplanted their opponents to seize the trophy rewarding the champion team of the first edition of the CFU Challenge series U14 girls. In the final this Sunday, August 29 in the Dominican Republic, Haiti took the best at the expense of Puerto Rico (1-0).

The only goal of the game was the work of Loudjina Étienne. The latter, designated as the best player and scorer of the competition, is none other than a worthy heir to Corventina.

After flying over the group stage, beating respectively Grenada (10-0), the host country, namely the Dominican Republic (5-2), Jamaica (5-2) and Puerto Rico (6-0), the women’s team, coached by the duo Fiorda Charles and Denis Méus, suffered another victim to seize the league title.

It should be noted that the Haitian women’s team, champion of the CFU Challenge series U14 girls, scored 27 goals in 5 games against only 4 goals conceded.
