Haiti – Politic: Urban Development Project in Cap Haitien
The Haitian State plans to implement the Urban Development Project in Cap-Haïtien, via the Central Implementation Unit (CEU) of the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPTC) with funding from the World Bank.
The Haitian State will implement the concrete measures and actions that are necessary to ensure that the Project is implemented in compliance with the national legislation and environmental and social standards of the World Bank.
The Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESAP) is a summary document that provides a summary of the concrete measures and actions needed, as well as deadlines for their completion. The Haitian State is obliged to enforce all the requirements of this plan, even when the implementation of certain measures and actions is the responsibility of the EUA.
The implementation of the measures and actions defined in the Plan, will be the subject of a follow-up and reports of the Haitian State that will communicate to the World Bank in application of the provisions of the Plan, while the Bank will assure the monitoring and evaluation of the progress and implementation of these measures and concrete actions throughout the implementation of the Project.
